Michael Jordan’s Elusive Chicago Bulls Logoman Autograph Card Coming To Auction For First Time

A “holy grail” Michael Jordan card is soon coming to public auction for the first time. Jordan’s 2003-04 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Game-Used Logoman Autograph 1/1 will be part of the upcoming Goldin 100 auction. This is MJ’s first signed Logoman patch card in a Bulls uniform.

“This is back in the day when cards were actually game used,” Ken Goldin, founder and CEO of Goldin, says in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter). “So this is a Michael Jordan game-used Logoman with a Chicago Bulls logo on it.”

In 2002, Upper Deck released a trio of Jordan Logoman patch autographs, but those were from his Washington Wizards uniforms.

“Words can simply not express the historical significance and the importance of this card,” says Goldin. “It is, without a doubt, the single-best and the single-most valuable Michael Jordan card — and the most sought-after — that has ever been produced.”

This is the first time the 2003-04 Upper Deck Michael Jordan Ultimate Collection Game-Used Logoman Autograph 1/1 has been seen in public. The whereabouts of the card were previously unknown until it was submitted to PSA in 2022. The MJ autograph on the card received a PSA 10.

“The card itself displays a highly favorable manner of appearance, with any evidence of past circulation barely perceptible to the naked eye,” the Goldin description lot reads. “Cards possessing this awe-inspiring combination of style, exclusivity, and historical significance do not frequently exchange hands, making this auction event a truly once-in-a-lifetime offering.”

Currently, the most expensive Jordan basketball card is his 1997-98 Upper Deck Game Jerseys Autograph which sold for $2.7 million in 2021. That isn’t the only Jordan item that has reached seven figures. Jordan’s “Last Dance” jersey he wore in Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $10.1 million in September 2022 — making it the the most expensive game-worn memorabilia of all-time. This past February, a set of six individual sneakers worn by Jordan during the clinching games of his six career NBA championships sold for $8 million, setting a global auction record for game-worn sneakers.

Bidding for this “holy grail” MJ Logoman card begins Friday, April 19.
