Topps Surprising Collectors With Five Jackson Holliday Short Print Variations In 2024 Topps Series 2

Topps is having some fun with one of its best rookie chase cards in 2024 Topps Series 2, which is dropping today. As of this posting Wednesday morning, five short print variations have been pulled of Jackson Holliday — the Baltimore Orioles’ 20-year-old phenom.

Four of the variations pay homage to Bill Ripken’s infamous 1989 Fleer “F*ck Face” card that set the collecting world on fire 35 years ago.

In 2024 Topps Series 2, Holliday has a short print variation of “Fun Face” written on his bat knob. There are also other variations which has “Fun Face” scribbled out, white boxed out and black boxed out, similar to that of Ripken’s Fleer card.

There’s also another variation where Holliday is at-bat.

On top of the short print variations, Holliday has rookie insert autographs in 2024 Topps Series 2. He will also have rookie autograph cards in 2024 Topps Tier One.

Holliday wasn’t included in the original base set checklist for 2024 Topps Series 2.

Holliday made his Major League Baseball debut against the Boston Red Sox on April 10. He struggled in his first call-up to the bigs, hitting .059 across ten games. Holliday was subsequently sent back down to Triple-A, where he continues to rake.

Holliday remains the No. 1 prospect in baseball.

Other rookies receiving the short-print treatment in 2024 Topps Series 2 is Texas Rangers’ Wyatt Langford, Milwaukee Brewers’ Jackson Chourio and San Diego Padres’ Jackson Merrill.
