George Costanza Bobbleheads Already Selling For Big Bucks On eBay Ahead Of Yankees Giveaway

The greatest assistant to the traveling secretary will be honored Friday night at Yankee Stadium. The New York Yankees will be giving away George Costanza bobbleheads to the first 18,000 fans in attendance. And, of course, these bobbleheads of the ever-popular “Seinfeld” character are already commanding big bucks on eBay.

According to data from 130Point.com, the 21 bobbleheads already sold on the platform have gone between $95-$190. As of this publishing, there are 43 other Costanza bobblehead giveaways currently on eBay, with sellers mainly asking for $100 and above.

The bobblehead portrays an iconic scene from “Seinfeld” when Costanza, played by actor Jason Alexander, gives batting tips to Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams.

“Guys, hitting is not about muscle, it’s simple physics. Calculate the velocity ‘V,’ in relation to the trajectory ‘T,’ in which ‘G’ gravity, of course, remains a constant,” Costanza tells the two Yankees legends while cranking out home runs. “It’s not complicated.”

Costanza worked for the Yankees as the assistant to the traveling secretary during seasons five through eight on “Seinfeld.” He had many memorable scenes with a fictionalized version of owner George Steinbrenner, who was voiced by “Seinfeld” co-creator and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Larry David.

This isn’t the only Costanza bobblehead giveaway that’s happening with a baseball team in New York this season. The Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will be treating fans with the character’s bobblehead to celebrate “Seinfeld” Night on Aug. 10.

If you’re going to tonight’s Yankees game against the Boston Red Sox, make sure to get there early to secure the Costanza bobblehead.
