Best Bowman Cards Of Top 5 Chicago White Sox Prospects

The Chicago White Sox’s farm system ranks in the bottom-third of Major League Baseball, but that might change if the team decides to sell at the trade deadline. That doesn’t mean they don’t have prospects to collect, though. The White Sox currently have four prospects in the Top 100 in shortstop Colson Montgomery, pitchers Noah Schultz and Drew Thorpe, and catcher Edgar Quero.

Colson Montgomery, the White Sox’s top prospect and baseball’s ninth overall, was drafted in the first round in the 2021 MLB Draft. The 22-year-old shortstop is currently playing in Triple-A and there’s a chance he might be playing in “The Show” by the season’s end. Montgomery first shows up in 2022 Bowman. Drew Thorpe, baseball’s 53rd-ranked prospect, was drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft. Thorpe was included in the Juan Soto trade to the San Diego Padres, who then subsequently shipped him to the Chicago White Sox as part of the Dylan Cease deal. Edgar Quero was initially part of the Los Angeles Angels organization after he signed with them for $200,000 in February 2021. He came over to the White Sox as part of the Lucas Giolito/Reynaldo Lopez trade in 2023. The 21-year-old switch-hitter is billed to be the White Sox’s catcher of the future and is currently playing well in Double-A. He hasn’t appeared in many games as of this publishing due to landing on the injured list in late May, but he appears to be the White Sox’s third baseman of the future.
