Best First Bowman Cards For Baltimore Orioles’ Top 5 Prospects

The Baltimore Orioles farm system is absolutely stacked, as it is ranked the best in baseball. Baltimore’s four best prospects land in MLB’s top 21 overall, including Jackson Holliday, Samuel Basallo, Coby Mayo and Heston Kjerstad. For the past several years, the Orioles have cranked out stars like Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson Jordan Westburg and Colton Cowser, and they won’t be stopping anytime soon with the talent they have in the minors.

Jackson Holliday is not only the Orioles’ top prospect, but he is also the No. 1-ranked prospect in MLB today. The 20-year-old Holliday blazed through the minors after getting drafted first overall in the 2022 MLB Draft and made his big league debut in April. However, he was sent back down to Triple-A after only hitting .059. Holliday has gotten back on track in Triple-A and still remains a highly collectible prospect. His ungraded base 2022 Bowman Chrome Draft Autograph sells in the $250 range.

Samuel Basallo, the Orioles’ second-ranked prospect and MLB’s 13th overall, signed for $1.3 million during the international signing period in January 2021 when he was only 16. Now 19, all the first baseman and catcher has done in the minors is mash. Basallo is currently in Double-A and his first Bowman card came in the 2023 Bowman Chrome set. Basallo’s 2023 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autograph usually sells for $100.

Coby Mayo, the Orioles’ third-ranked prospect and MLB’s 19th overall, was taken in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft. The 22-year-old is tearing it up in Triple-A. Mayo’s first Bowman card came in the 2021 Bowman set and his 2021 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autograph can be had in the $90-$100 range.

Heston Kjerstad, the Orioles’ fourth-overall prospect and MLB’s 21st-ranked, was the second-overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. His career nearly ended before it even started after being diagnosed with myocarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart. He finally got back on the field in June 2022 and all he’s done is show why he was a top pick. Kjerstad has played 20 games total in the bigs over 2023 and 2024 and is currently in Triple-A. Kjerstad’s first Bowman came in the 2020 Bowman Draft set and collectors can snag his 2020 Bowman Chrome Draft Autograph anywhere in the $40-$75 range.

Enrique Bradfield Jr., the Orioles’ fifth-ranked prospect, was selected 17th overall in the 2023 MLB Draft. Bradfield is a terror on the basepaths and has an 80-grade speed. The 22-year-old is currently in High Single-A. Bradfield’s first Bowman card can be found in the 2023 Bowman Draft set and collectors can buy his 2023 Bowman Chrome Draft Autograph for around $15.
